Creating search queries

Sintelix has an powerful set of search capabilities. It is possible to search jointly by text, by tag, by entity reference or by document property. This section shows how each of those capabilities can be used to run a simple search. It is possible to run multifaceted searches to refine results further.

Illustrated Step-by-Step Instructions

To access the search interface click on the Search tab on the Menu bar.

The search query pane can be found on the left hand side of the screen.

From here you can choose which collectionA collection is a container for storing and organising ingested files and documents. Only the textual content is stored in collections, not the original files and documents. or collections to conduct your search in:

And choose from a range of search options:

Your options include: (Use the Down arrow to change option - See Below)

Text Search - Enter your Query Text in the box provided and then click the Search button:

A Tag search - Use the drop down menu to select the tag Category and then enter any Query Text in the field followed by clicking on the Search button:

An Entity Reference search - Use the drop down menus to select the Category and Tag Name then enter any Query Text in the field and then click the Search button:

A Property search - Use the drop down menus to select the Category and the Property Name then enter any Query Text in the field and then click the Search button:
